Home Maintenance Advice

Now you are in your home, what do you do if something needs repaired?

During working hours, you should telephone the office on 0141 959 2552 and give as much detail as possible to the person who responds to your call.  Alternatively you can attend our office at the Whiteinch Centre, 1 Northinch Court (off Jordan Street) which is open from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. You will be asked how, and when, the contractor can get access to your home, and you will be told what category of repair you have reported.  Repairs are dealt with, by category, in the following times:

  • Emergency Repairs - within 24 hours
  • Urgent Repairs - within 3 working days
  • Routine Repairs - within 10 working days.

If you require an emergency tradesman outwith office hours then use one of the following numbers:-

  • Carillion on 08459 303031 will provide an electrician, joiner, plumber or slater
  • CTS on 0844 579 6493 will call to deal with a gas central heating problems

We would stress that the above service is aimed at dealing with emergencies only and to ensure it operates effectively, you should make sensible use of the service.

  • Don't call out contractors to deal with non-emergency repairs which could be reported when the office is open.  If we deem an 'emergency' call-out to have been unneccessary, or where the emergency contractor did not gain access to a property, we will charge you for the call-out.
  • If the problem is flooding, check out the posible source yourself.  It may be that the problem is your neighbour's washing machine or bath, and this is not the Association's responsibility.
